Side Effects (2013)

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, Jonathan is a successful psychiatrist who begins having sessions with Emily, a young married woman who is dealing with the jail release of her husband Martin. When Emily is reunited with Martin, Banks prescribes a drug called Ablixa to treat Emily’s anxiety disorder. Soon after taking the drug, Emily awakens to find a dead body in her apartment, having murdered the person. Jonathan is then investigated and questioned whether it was Emily’s intention to murder the person, or if she is a victim of his medical treatment.

Directed by Michael Sucsy, Based on the true story, Ten weeks after their wedding on 18 September 1993, the couple was in an automobile accident, the couple recovering from an accident that puts the wife in a coma. She wakes up with severe memory loss and can’t remember any of her life with her new husband…madly in love with his wife, although she viewed him as a stranger, so he has to fight to win her heart all over again.

Public Enemies (2009)

Directed by Michael Mann, This is the story of the last few years of the notorious bank robber John Dillinger. He loved what he did and could imagine little else that would make him happier. Living openly in 1930s Chicago, he had the run of the city with little fear of reprisals from the authorities. It’s there that he meets Billie Frechette with whom he falls deeply in love. In parallel we meet Melvin Purvis, the FBI agent who would eventually track Dillinger down. The FBI was is in its early days and Director J. Edgar Hoover was keen to promote the clean cut image that so dominated the organization through his lifetime. Purvis realizes that if he is going to get Dillinger, he will have to use street tactics and imports appropriate men with police training. Dillinger is eventually betrayed by an acquaintance.
