Directed by Rob Minkoff, The Little family adopt a charming young mouse named Stuart, Stuart searches for a sense of belonging and a place to call home in a decidedly supersized world. When he’s adopted by the Littles, a human family, he embarks on adventures with a variety of characters–including his nemesis, family cat Snowbell–and learns the family, loyalty and friendship. The Littles, in the meantime, discover there is a little “Stuart” in all of us–the spunk, spirit and courage to be true to ourselves and follow our dreams despite the odds.

Directed by Pete Docter and David Silverman, Furred behemoth. “Sully” Sullivan and his one-eyed assistant Mike are employed by Monsters, Inc., a scream processing factory. It seems that the denizens of their realm thrive on the screams of kids spooked by monsters lurking under their beds and in their closets. It’s the job of Sully, Mike, and their co-workers, including sarcastic Randall Boggs, crab-like CEO Henry J, and lovely snake-headed receptionist Celia to keep the frights flowing. When Sully and Mike are followed back into the monster world by a very unafraid little human girl named Boo, they are exiled to her universe, where they discover that such a modern-day mythological specimen as the Abominable Snowman is a fellow refugee.
The Wachowski brothers’ debut film was this clever thriller and stylishly sexy neo-noir film. It starred Gina Gershon as a butch lesbian and ex-con plumber named Corky who experienced a titillating, Sapphic sexual liaison with a breathy Chicago mobster’s bisexual girlfriend named Violet (Jennifer Tilly), while renovating the next-door apartment – they both plotted to abscond $2 million from Violet’s boyfriend Caesar (Joe Pantoliano) while engaging in steamy girl-on-girl scenes. In a sofa seduction scene with her bulging cleavage showing, black lingerie-wearing Violet asked: “Do I make you nervous, Corky?” and then admitted boldly: “I’m trying to seduce you” as she had Corky touch the tattoo on her breast. She then moistened Corky’s finger with her mouth and placed it tantalizingly between her legs, as she confessed and proved her true feelings. The first mainstream film with two female leads playing lesbians.
